Airfix: Making History Art Exhibition - 25th - 26th May 2013 - 10am - 6pm
The Royal Air Force Museum London will be launching in Summer 2013 a
signature exhibition commemorating and celebrating the national
institution that is Airfix.
This exhibition will chart the history of this Great British Institution
by displaying original Box Art as well as Airfix’s most popular models
from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s in the Museum’s Art Gallery.
An important part of the exhibition will be the examination of how
Airfix has permeated the social fabric of the United Kingdom and how it
has influenced the leisure activities of generations of young men and
women since the company’s foundation - inspiring many to take up their

The South East Airshow, Manston International Airport, 22nd June 2013 from 10am
AS Enterprises and Heritage Events bring this incredibly popular airshow back to Manston Airport after many years absence. The show which ran from the Second World War now returns in June 2013, with an impressive list of aircraft some of which will be on the ground for an even closer view. The world-famous delta wing Vulcan Bomber aircraft will be at the show for what could be its last ever year of flying displays. Lympne Aero Classic, Lympne, 6th - 7th July 2013
A celebration of Lympne Airfield from 1916 to the 1980s, recalling
the fascinating and historic aviation activities that took place at the
