The Airfix Team would like to wish you a Happy New Year!

Before we go onto the 2008 release list, we would like to review the highlights of last year. In 2007 there was the launch of the new Airfix and Humbrol websites, RNLI Severn Class Lifeboat, Supermarine Spitfire MkI 1:48, Falklands Gift Sets and the new Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Gift Set. Also in 2007 Airfix launched the first in a range of Doctor Who models with 'Welcome Aboard' which features an amazing model of The Doctor, Martha and TARDIS with 'light and sound'. This kit is in 1:12 scale making the TARDIS over 24cm tall.

However, the biggest news of 2007 was the start of the new Airfix Club and amazing club package including an exclusive Club Limited Edition model of a Supermarine Spitfire MkXIe in 1:48 scale.

Whats New for 2008!

For the enthusiast of the highly detailed 1:24 scale kits the launch of the Mosquito is a huge milestone and will lead the way for all large scale kits.

A 1:48 scale TSR2 will be a subject that will be a great addition to any collection. This will only be available for a short while as it is 2008's "Limited Edition" Kit. 

The other exciting news is the launch of a range of brilliant models featuring Doctor Who and two wonderful Shaun the Sheep kits. The TARDIS with the Doctor and Martha Jones ; Daleks from series 3, including Dalek Sec opened, The Doctor and Astrid from the Christmas Special and others that can all be built as electronically enhanced models with light and sound. Shaun the Sheep subjects include The Land Rover with Shaun, Timmy and all the naughty pigs; and the Tractor with Shaun and Blitzer the dog.
