The difference 50 years makes

My 7 YO son built this almost unaided (there are a few really fiddly bits). The finished model looks great and goes together really well. The track fitting scheme (hard styrene single piece) is a little tricky and can lead to protruding sprockets interfering with the skirts. Some looser tolerancing may help here (or cut off the inner sprocket teeth at the corner). This is way ahead of the old tools I built in the 70s and I would love to see more like this to go along with 'Airfix Battles'.

An excellent model at a great price

For £8, you cant get much better than this. I found this model fun to build and ended up with a nice end result. It now sits proudly on my desk. The level of detail is fantastic and it really captures the essence of the vehicle. This kit does contain a lot of small parts and therefore is best for more experienced modellers.

Humbrol Enamel paints for the kit's primary decal scheme.
