Description
Building on the incredible success of the RAF’s British Aerospace Hawk trainer, the 100 series was a significant development of the original design, which resulted in a much more aggressive looking aeroplane. With a lengthened nose and permanent wing-tip mountings for air to air missiles, the Hawk 100 series would provide several nations with an extremely cost effective, agile and capable multi-role aircraft option.

A wonderful kit that goes together really well. It is a reissue of the original A03037 (ZJ951 on box) and comes with the same flaws. There are inaccuracies in the kit - for example the 100 series does not have a HUD in the rear cockpit, the aerial next to tail fin is missing, as is the nose light. All the above can be easily rectified, just a case of studying the mark you are building. The sad issue with this kit is Airfix did not take the relaunch to drop the aden cannon and replace with the centre line fuel tank that is almost standard on these lovely jets.
Apart from these small problems, it is still a wonderful kit and many hours of fun can be had building the Worlds most successful flying classroom used all around the world. ...
