can humbrol gloss cote be thined with water?

 

any help would be apreciated

Are you talking about AC5501? If so, it is solvent based.

Did you try reading the lable or looking at the information for the product on the website?

As far as I know it can be used directly out of the bottle without thinning.

i had a look on the label and it didnt say anything and i couldn't find anything relevent on the site

That's odd! I've just looked at my bottle and it says (first sentence on the back)

 

Humbrol Clear is a water soluble, self levelling gloss medium....
