I just finished this for a group build on the Britmodeller forums. I'd had the Humbrol boxing of this 1959 vintage kit for a couple of decades, with vague plans perhaps one day to complete it as a "what if" in RAF Transport Command colours.
In the end, I went with the kit colours and transfers. All the rivets had to be sacrificed in order to get some clean and smooth seams, and that entailed scribing replacement panels and doors on the rotor tower. The toy-like clamshell door hinges were filled, smaller scale representations fitted, and the doors glued shut to allow for a good fit. The transfers were paler than the quoted Hu14 gloss French Blue paint, and also decided to flake and fall apart on me. I had to do some creative colour matching to paint repairs and match the cockpit transparency frames.
Still, it ended up looking the part. I added the cockpit side window slide rails, the nose instrument probe, and did some reshaping of various undercarriage parts to make them a lot thinner.
