Description
By 1943 the RAF needed a dedicated ground attack fighter, and the Typhoon was suited to the role. The powerful engine allowed the aircraft to carry a load of up to two 1,000lb (454kg) bombs. From September 1943, Typhoons could also be armed with four, eight or in some cases even 12 "60lb" RP-3 rockets.

Despite its fearsome reputation as something of an airborne battering ram, you might think that pilots flying the mighty Hawker Typhoon might have chosen to embellish their aircraft with aggressive looking artwork, to further enhance its notoriety. In actual fact, it is thought that just one aircraft benefited from the addition of shark mouth nose artwork, even though it proved particularly effective on the front profile of the Typhoon.

The mold quality was good overall, with no flash. However, the detail was minimal, with details that were there being large and chunky. Surface detail did include recessed panel lines, though these were too deep for the scale in my opinion. The fit of some parts wasn't great, including the rear stabilizers, which didn't fit snugly with the fuselage. If i were to choose again, I would probably have gone with an Eduard kit, and a photo etch parts set.

brilliant
due to the lockdown and the fact that i can't be bothered with jigsaws or watching YouTube with the kids, i thought i would build a model for the first time in nearly 30 years to see if i still enjoyed building them well i wasn't disappointed with this one, it is brilliant, easy to follow instructions and fits very well together, highly recommended to all. Although i would echo the invasion stripes comments and have decided to paint them on myself. in fact i have enjoyed it so much i am carrying on and have ordered another plane to build.
