| Description

During 1941 to 1945 over 15,000 specially built and designed military tractors were built in the U.S. Approximately 40 variants were produced and were used in every theatre the U.S. forces operated in. One interesting fact was that the manual for this military tractor included instructions for destroying the tractor should it be in danger of being seized by the enemy. Many of them stayed in both military and civilian use long after the war.

An enjoyable build.

A nice little kit of a USAAF and farmers' workhorse. The photo etched parts are easy to put together and there's plenty of scope for this to be in a military or agricultural setting. There's maybe a chance to add a few extra "super detailing bits" but not much, it being a tractor but plenty of chance for weathering. In all, an enjoyable build that can be easy or complicated as you wish.

Enjoyable kit

Really enjoyed building this kit although it was a little fiddly and awkward with a couple of the parts. I decided to give it a different colour scheme (red and yellow) so didn't use the decals. The tyres for this kit are superb and really add realism!

Military + farming = winner.

An interesting little kit of not a "classical" military vehicle. There's plenty of scope for setting a scene and weathering, be it an East Anglian aerodrome or a Mid West farm? Military or civilian, take your pick. The model shop forgot to add the instructions but Airfix were very good and sent them via return e-mail. Best to use superglue for some of the parts whilst the odd bend needed of the etched brass bits doesn't really need a dedicated PE tool. A very nice kit that is fun to build and a bit "off the wall". Definitely one to add to a collection.
