AIRFIX

Welcome to our round up of recent highlights from the Airfix website

Another month has passed here at Airfix, which can mean only one thing! It’s time to pick out all the best bits from the Airfix website over the last four weeks.

As always, there’s been a huge amount of activity here including new arrivals, the latest from our blogs, important anniversaries and more!

TOP PICK OF THE MONTH

    BAe Hawk T.Mk.1A 1:72

April saw the release of the BAe Hawk, an agile and reliable jet pilot training platform. With over 1,000 aircraft produced, the Hawk has been one of Britain’s most lucrative post-war export successes.

BRING YOUR MODELS TO LIFE

Arriving in the last few weeks, a number of Airfix figures returned to the website. Popular with diorama builders, these kits will be a welcome sight for many modellers.

RAF CENTENARY

We covered the RAF Centenary last month too, but this momentous occasion rightfully takes its place in April as well. If you haven’t already, take a look at ways you can commemorate this historic occasion in plastic.

WORKBENCH

Classic jet powered aircraft of the Royal Air Force

Workbench features a trio of classic British jet aircraft which have, or are just about to be, immortalised as plastic scale models in the current Airfix range. Also, there's another Workbench exclusive with the latest images from our impressive new 1/48th scale Hawker Hunter F.6 project.

AERODROME

A trio of magnificent Mosquitos at historic Salisbury Hall

Aerodrome heads down to Salisbury Hall in Hertfordshire, where it is possible to view three magnificently restored de Havilland Mosquitos in the same historic hangar. Making this an even more memorable occasion, two of the aircraft were dragged outside the hangar for a unique photo opportunity!
