mike_arnold
I always thought the Roayl Artillery figures were by far the best Airfix Waterloo figures and your paintwork proves the point excellently!

Heather Kavanagh
You do a splendid job with painting these little figures, Ratch. Very impressive. When you say you had to "steal some heads", I take that to mean you transplanted heads from other figures. Assuming these figures are that awful rubbery plastic, what adhesive did you use? Ratch
Thanks Heather. I had some HaT Dutch Infantry that I wanted to change into South Netherlands (Belgian) Infantry with Belgic Caps. I used Roket Cyano Glue Gel by Deluxe and it has worked well 😆

Ratch
I finally got around to mounting these two old sets of 01743 Waterloo British Cavalry. Some slight re-touches were required, but they didn't take long.15th (King's) Light Dragoons (Hussars)http://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24789489/413666608.jpg http://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24789489/413666609.jpg http://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24789489/413666610.jpg http://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24789489/413666611.jpg 18th (King's Irish) Light Dragoons (Hussars)http://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24789489/413666612.jpg http://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24789489/413666613.jpg http://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24789489/413666614.jpg http://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24789489/413666615.jpg
Ratch
Another restoration; this time 01736 Waterloo French Cavalry (Cuirassiers). I couldn't find all the figures from the set, but I have gotten around to re-painting them.http://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24789489/413674227.jpg http://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24789489/413674228.jpg http://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24789489/413674229.jpg
Kenneth ONeill
I'm not about to propose this as a new release, but am I right in thinking Airfix never included the "95th Rifles" in the OO series Napoleonics? Ratch
Thanks Charles, many of these are old sets that I acquired over the years and am currently repainting, though I do have a complete and unstarted Battle of Waterloo (A50174) Set to get on with too.I have copied this method of mounting figures for paintinghttp://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24784563/413694006.jpgDrilling the holes is tedious, but it does help to reduce the retouches due to handling

Ratch
I need some Grenadiers to go with the Fusiliers I have recently done from another manufacturer. The Airfix French Infantry are not ideal but can pass for them. I shall repaint this set.
