SSome Classic Airfix Car Builds

11 posts

This year I have been collecting and building classic Airfix 1/32 car kits. Here are the first few.

Airfix 1/32 Lotus Cortina (M8C)

Airfix 1/32 Ford Zodiac III (M201C)

Airfix 1/32 Sunbeam Rapier III (M1C)

Airfix 1/32 MG 1100 Saloon (M7C)

Airfix 1/32 Vauxhall 2000 Estate (M302C)

Airfix 1/32 Renault Dauphine (M3C)

Airfix 1/32 Morris Mini Minor (M4C)

There are many more to be built in the coming years.....

Wow!  That's a lovely set of builds.  I think one of the greatest attractions of the Airfix range was the fact that there were so many kits all of the same scale so that you could display them all next to each other

Great to see these old classics built upSmile if only the tooling was still around and being used.

Lovely work and trip down memory lane. Built the cortina, rapier and dauphine(cos dad had one!) back in the day but they didnt look like yours. How on earth did you find them all-frightened to think what its cost to source them all-credit to you for actually building them.

Thanks everybody. They weren't cheap (those above totalled over £400) but I used my inheritance from when my father died last year to buy all the car kits I can recall him building. I then decided that I would buy every Airfix 1/32 car kit and build them all, irrespective of price. I also have an Airfix 1/24 James Bond Aston Martin that will be built as well.
