The latest edition of Workbench celebrates a stunning European success for our fantastic 1/48th scale Supermarine Walrus Mk.I kit and we chart the development of fighter aircraft by featuring a pair of recently released kits which commemorate two of the most significant examples.

We also spend some quality time with the members of the Airfix Modelling Special Interest Group and find out a little of their history and what keeps them motivated to display at many of the model shows up and down the country.

In a further attempt to reduce the impact of the Winter Blues, the latest edition of Aerodrome takes another trip back into the archives and features a restoration project which took place at a small airfield in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

The resultant aircraft has gone on to become not only one of the stars of the UK Airshow scene, but can also boast significant credentials on the silver screen.

The latest edition of Die-cast Diaries brings you full details of a spectacular new addition to the Aviation Archive range, which commemorates arguably the most famous fighter ace in the history of flight, Manfred von Richthofen.

With a full project overview and several exclusive images, we will see why this new model is already proving to be a huge success with collectors and why the Red Baron continues to hold such fascination for many.

Hi guys,

Sorry to hear you're having a couple of problems with the new app. Our Development team are keeping a close eye on proceedings and have asked if you could get in touch, answering the following questions. If you could email your answers to me at forum@scalextric.com I can pass them on and should we need any further info we can easily get back in touch.

1. Please detail (being as specific as you can) the problem you're experiencing.

2. What set/equipment are you using with the app (C numbers if possible)?

3. What ARC system are you running (ONE/AIR/PRO)?

4. What smart device are you using (again please be specific on exact versions)? What operating system?

5. What firmware/hardware and app version are you running (in the Settings in the app)?

Once we've got all the details, we can investigate and let you know as soon as a solution has been found.

In the latest edition of Workbench, we feature a host of exclusive images in support of a full update from the new Vickers Wellington Mk.IC project, including a piece of in-house digital art which will have many modellers and aviation enthusiasts saying ‘if only’.

We also have the second instalment in our reader supplied Messerschmitt Me 262 build feature and take a look at why the Supermarine Spitfire has always been amongst the most popular kits in any Airfix catalogue.

Good afternoon all,

It’s been some time since we discussed it here on the Forum, but we’re now able to share the Scalextric ARC BLE Protocol.

We’re aware that many of you are keen to get your hands on the information and we hope we can enable you to get the most out of your ARC powerbase.

If you’re interested in the info, please email me directly using forum@scalextric.com. If you could make it clear you’re after the ARC BLE Protocol and it shall be emailed to you privately.

The profanity filter is something I've discussed on the Forum before, but just to confirm. The profanity filter is not something we "outsource" - I have direct control over it and the words that are blocked. However, there is no "intelligent" part of the filter, when a word is detected that is on the list the post gets held (and I receive a notification).

In most cases, this can lead to a post being held incorrectly. While I do appreciate this can be frustrating, I would rather cause that inconvenience than risk having these words used in an offensive manner on the Forum. The profanity filter has stopped certain members using these words offensively (some of which have been joked about in this thread), which to me proves its case.

I understand it is annoying when a post gets blocked, especially when you've spent time creating it. However, there doesn't have to be an inquest every time this happens. Once I've checked the post over it will be released to the thread, or you can always re-phrase your post and have it appear straight away.

I would also ask that you don't test the filter, it results in notifications and goes into the system as a blocked post.
