Panic not! A small change to the site started throwing up these errors. The bug has been squashed now and the popups should be stopped.

The thread was locked because discussion was starting to get unfriendly. The most important thing is that everyone gets along.

Banter is fine - but not at the expense of other

members of the community.

From our point of view - we like having fun, that's what this hobby is about.

We don't mind the friendly banter as it's part of what keeps our forums alive - however when in-jokes go on for page after page leaving new members completely bemused

we are likely to remove posts or entire threads.

Utrecht01,

We wouldn't advise you invite people to come and stay with you and work on your layout.

I'm sure our community will be more than willing to offer support and assistance via these forums though.

Welcome to the forums!

We had had some reports that some users of Windows 7 are having difficulty installing Hornby RailMaster. These errors relate to missing or incorrect OCX files and prevent the installation from completing successfully.

These errors are due to the
installation of Windows 7 having an older version of Windows Visual Basic installed on the machine, which is required for Hornby RailMaster to function.

In order to resolve this issue it is required to allow Hornby RailMaster to update the existing
OSX files during the installation process.

1. Uninstall RailMaster

In Windows 7 (and some Vista systems) depending on how the Start menu has been configured, you may see the "Search" box instead of the "Run" box in your start menu. If this is the case for you type"Run" into the search box and press Enter. You will then be presented with the "Run" dialogue box.

2. Type in the command "regsvr32 /u /s MCI32.OCX" (use the name of the
OSX file that is displayed in the error message you have been seeing) and press Enter.

3. Reinstall RailMaster.

The issue should now be resolved.
