They really are impossible to build, especially the two in one box ones ..............................................oh that's right they're not, the fuselage on the RAF caused a few problems but nothing an hour or so work didn't solve .

This is the 1/48th Lynx HMA.8 converted to HAS.3 GMS ,XZ735 using the Rotorcraft resin set replacing the nose, sponsons and engine housing, the Mk3 GMSs retained the Gem 2 engines not the Gem 42s used in the Mk.7 and Mk8 though used the latters BERP blades, tail rotor and gearbox.

XZ735 was the last helicopter to leave Bessbrook Mill on 22nd of June 2007 an I photographed it on HMS Albion in Belfast Lough the same month..

@Dominic Thomas

With 6 months until the expected release date [according to the Airfix website], the stores options will probably have been chosen & moulded. The hope is that someone from Airfix reads these posts and is aware of what’s needed to make a representative FGR2, and that these stores will be in the kit.

They know exactly what is needed for the FGR.2 and have been tooled at the same time as the FG.1 ,it is a case of selecting what sprues for each release , the Vulcan pod , recce pod, strike camera ,non extending front undercarriage and non-slatted tailplanes are all on a seperate sprue replacing the FG.1 specific one.

It will have most if not all those stores in the boxing.

Would like a 1/48th Puma to add to my Op Banner lineup , multiple boxing possibilities, HC.1 early plus French ALAT schemes, HC.1 upgrade with wide chord blades , filters and defensive fit. Oversea versions, German Bundesgreshutz , Argentinian , French modern schemes. HC.2 with up to date engine exhausts, plating on rear of the rotor housing and up to date DAS fit.

@FAAMAN

I was waiting for this kit to eventually turn up here in Oz, then out came spru shots and reviews.

At first glance it seems a great kit, then . . . . .

"AOD" (Airfix-itus Omission Disease) is still infecting their releases. Backward steps from Airfix are just embarassing to this Airfix nut Embarassed

The RWR fin tip fairing is anemic also Embarassed.

Really ?

@barrada

Are there any plans for the Batmobile to appear this year?

As far as I am aware they no longer hold the rights to make a diecast Batmobile, and rights cost quite a bit of money to aqquire so you need to guarantee sales.
