The latest edition of Workbench brings readers the latest update from the highly-anticipated 1/48th scale Supermarine Walrus Mk.I tooling and includes scheme options, exclusive box artwork reveal and a built sample model. This magnificent model shows that there was more to Supermarine than just Spitfires!

The kit looks good, even though 1/48 is not my favourite scale, and I might even be tempted to get one were it not for one glaring omission -- NO CREW!

Airfix used to be renowned for always having crew figures, but suddenly thev've stopped doing it -- and I, for one, am voting with my wallet against this deplorable practice. I like to build my aircraft in flight, so manufacturers not including crew, only having the option for undercarriage down, not including stands and the like, are losing my business, and I don't think I'm alone in this. No matter how good a kit may be (and I repeat that this one looks good; I might wish that it gets downscaled to 1/72 in the future), if I can't build it the way I want to, I'm notg going to waste my time and money on it.

Ping! Ping!! Ping!!! -- Mother Box She's such a chatterbox, sometimes...

Does anyone know if the wings have either the holes, or location holes to be opened, for the rigging?
