| Description

The Mosquito earned the reputation of being one of the most outstanding aircraft of World War II.  Constant success in its various fighter-bomber, maritime and ground attack roles made it is a very respected foe by its opponents.  Its wooden construction provided resistance to punishing damage and afforded quick repair.

As an effective multi role aircraft of the Second World War, the magnificent Mosquito was without equal and became one of the most important aircraft to the Allied war effort, following its introduction in late 1941. It is reputed that the Mosquito was coveted by the Luftwaffe above all other Allied aircraft and whilst the Germans attempted to copy it on several occasions, they could never quite manage to produce their own effective ‘Wooden Wonder’.

de Havilland Mosquito NF.Mk.II/FB.Mk.VI/FB.Mk.XVIII

The model came together quite nicely, but I had difficulty assembling the landing gear and I found one or two instructions confusing, but overall, it is an okay kit but they could re-mold the landing gear

Night Fighter Magic

Just completed my Mosquito after reading the previous reviews I agree and disagree with some points. Yes the undercarriage is a bit tricky and flimsy . Yes decals are sparse . But I found the instructions clear as to what went with each of the three subject aircraft , found all parts fitted well (apart from that undercarriage) and I think the night fighter looks a treat! Very Pleased :-)

Mosquito

Lovely kit. Although I believe the mould is quite old, I found all the parts went together nicely. The decals were excellent quality but there wasn't much detail apart from roundels and basic nose art. The lack of detail continued into the cockpit, where there was little besides the joystick and a very basic instrument panel, which didn't even benefit from a joystick. The instructions were confusing in some places, and I was unsure whether I should add bombs, rockets or drop tanks. However, the kit was quite easy and fun to build, and looks very good when finished.
