As someone returning to aircraft after a long break I really enjoyed making my first Spitfire since I was a kid. Excellent fit, lovely fine panel lines & all the gun ports drilled and open. The cockpit assembly & detail is great. I lost the canopy while I was making it, and had to the excellent Airfix spares service for the second time in nearly 30 years - after a couple of weeks my new canopy arrived and I was able to finish off my new Battle of Britain dogfighter - I am very chuffed

Very good begginer's kit
This was my first airfix kit and I was very pleased. It was very simple to build and paint but there are lots of parts that are very easy to snap off with little pressure.
